چکیده
Combined application of organic and mineral fertilizers has been proposed as a measure for sustainable yield intensification mitigation greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. However, fertilizer effects strongly depend on the soil type still no precise information is available Nitisols in Ethiopia. The study evaluated different ratios biowaste compost (consisting nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), sulphur (S)) maize (Zea mays L. Bako-hybrid) yields two-year field trial. Soil samples from each treatment trial were used to estimate emissions nitrous oxide (N2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), microbial activity 28-day incubation experiment with two moisture levels (40% 75% water-filled pore space, WFPS). corresponded N supply about 100 kg ha?1, whereby pure (100 min) was gradually replaced by compost. Maize increased 12 18% (p < 0.05) combined treatments compared min treatment. cumulative N2O CO2 but not CH4 affected 0.05). At WFPS, 16.3 g ha?1 more than twice high 100% (6.4 ha?1) also considerably higher 50% (9.4 ha?1). results suggest that accounting 40 70% combinations can be suitable increase well mitigate GHG Southwestern

Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation is an effective method for introducing genes into maize. In this chapter, we describe a detailed protocol for genetic transformation of the maize genotype Hi II. Our starting plant material is immature embryos cocultivated with an Agrobacterium strain carrying a standard binary vector. In addition to step-by-step laboratory transformation proced...

متن کاملGreenhouse Gas Fluxes from Irrigated Sweet Corn (Zea mays L.) and Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.)
Intensive agriculture and increased N-fertilizer use have contributed to elevated emissions of the greenhouse gases, CO2, CH4, and N2O. In this study, the exchange of the greenhouse gases, CO2, N2O, and CH4, between a Quincy fine sand (mixed, mesic Xeric Torripsamments) soil and atmosphere was measured in a sweet corn (Zea mays L.) sweet corn potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) rotation during the 20...

متن کاملdevelopment and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle
in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...
